Empowering ADHD Clients
4AM COURAGE Consulting & Coaching is owned and operated by an experienced Registered Nurse, certified ADHD clinical provider, educator, and advocate. We specialize in comprehensive ADHD clinical services, offering guidance and support tailored to both individuals and parents.
We assist clients in every step of the ADHD journey, from obtaining a diagnosis to developing a personalized action plan. Our expertise includes researching and connecting clients with essential medical and educational resources, ensuring they receive the best possible support.
We provide medication monitoring and education on all available treatment options—including both pharmaceutical and supplement-based approaches—so you can confidently advocate for yourself or your child in medical settings. Additionally, we assist families in navigating the school system by facilitating the process of obtaining a 504 Plan or Individualized Education Program (IEP) for necessary accommodations.
For late teens and adults, we offer ADHD coaching designed to enhance executive function skills for academic, professional, and personal success. Our career assessment services utilize executive function analysis, personality profiling, skills/interests evaluation, and motivational assessments to help ADHD individuals identify fulfilling career paths. This service is particularly valuable for those who have struggled with frequent job changes, are preparing for college, or are currently navigating their academic journey.
At 4AM COURAGE, we understand how overwhelming the ADHD experience can be—for both individuals and families. Let us help you create a structured, sustainable path toward long-term success.
my story

Megan Mahlen
RN, BSN, CMSRN, ADHD-CCSP, ADHD-CE
As a registered nurse for 15 years, my journey took a personal turn when my son was diagnosed with ADHD. Determined to help him navigate this challenge, I immersed myself in medical research and discovered a significant gap in support. When we received his diagnosis, we were handed a prescription for stimulant medication—but little else. Even as a health care professional, I felt overwhelmed and uncertain about the next steps. However, as a nurse, I’ve learned that advocacy is key; you keep knocking on doors until you find the help you need.
The same principle applies within the school system. While it would be ideal if schools automatically provided the necessary 504 plans or IEPs, the reality is that parents and caregivers must advocate persistently. I understand how difficult and emotional this process can be, but I want you to know that you—or your child—are incredible. ADHD isn’t a deficit; it’s a unique way of thinking. Those with ADHD have minds like Ferraris—fast and powerful—we just need to fine-tune the braking system. Neurodivergent individuals think differently, and they are often the ones who change the world.
My background includes attending the Air Force Academy, where I developed strong executive functioning skills. Now, I leverage those skills and my ability to think outside the box to create executive function strategies that enhance efficiency, performance, and mindset. I often tell my son that we’re simply discovering "brain hacks" to strengthen the executive functions he finds challenging.
Recognizing that ADHD presents lifelong challenges, I expanded my research to focus on ADHD in the workplace. I pursued a career coaching certification, but I didn’t stop there—I conducted in-depth research into executive function assessments, personality frameworks, skills and interests evaluations, and motivation analysis. I am now certified to administer these assessments, allowing me to provide personalized career guidance that aligns with each individual’s strengths and professional aspirations.
My mission is to help individuals with ADHD unlock their potential—whether in academics, daily life, or their careers—by equipping them with the tools and strategies they need to thrive.
